We instituted a new policy for Ryan last week. His usual bedtime is 8:30, but we told him he could stay up 15 minutes longer if he wanted to read in bed. I figured he would like the idea, but I was surprised at how excited he is each evening. He has been sleeping on the top bunk ever since Granpa was here and Abby was sleeping in his room on the bottom bunk. He likes being up high! He likes to read by flashlight, and I tried to snap a picture of him reading in bed, though it didn't turn out very well.
"Behold, children are a gift of the Lord..." Psalm 127:3
Ryan became our son and precious gift not only from the Lord's hands but also from the hands of a selfless and brave young woman who bestowed on us the privilege of adopting him.

ROTFL....he has a later bedtime than his 7 year old cousin. She goes to bed at 7:30/ no later than 8:00 on school days.
ReplyDeleteAnd he still gets up at 6:30am and doesn't take a nap!
